For God knows what reason, I've wanted to be a cartoonist from a young age, but I've never actually done much of anything about it. I'm not particularly good at drawing. I don't know much about the craft. There's a chance I'll probably spend at least half of the year copping from achewood and Buttercup Festival. It's pretty much a certainty that I will unconsciously cop jokes from Calvin and Hobbes.
MY RULES:
1. One Comic a Day
2. Any Format
3. Any Topic
4. No anthropomorphic cats.
5. At least one personal innovation a week.
Why share it? I like feedback and, like most human beings, instant gratification is a bigger motivator for me than thoughts of achieving a distant goal. On the off-chance that the blog develops any kind of readership, I'll have created an obligation to follow through on something.
Each comic will come with a short description detailing what's inspired it, self-deprecation, and possibly details of what's going on around me. I expect things to gradually become less crude and self-aware. I really love the medium.
I started two days ago, so I'll be posting those along with a haphazardly thrown together comic from tonight. After that, you can expect one update a day. My seriousness monocle comes off now. Thanks for reading.
